Our Ethos-

At Little Stars we believe our children are individuals whose thoughts, feelings and ideas should be respected, we create beautiful, calm spaces using natural colours, following the “curiosity approach” ethos that focus’s on curiosity, awe and wonder in early years, we have started to use loose parts, authentic resources, recycled materials and open ended resources to encourage imagination and creativity.

We chose to follow the children’s interests to plan experiences and work closely, in partnership with parents to create individual plans of development that children can work towards at their own pace.

We use dispositional language throughout the day to develop your child’s individual characteristics further. This will promote a positive disposition to their learning.

We feel cultural capital is of paramount importance and we ensure that every child will get the best experiences, both within the setting and externally.

We feel every child’s experience is different and we aim to respond to the individual needs of every child through relationships that are warm, loving and supportive as, we feel children will thrive best in their learning in an environment they feel emotionally secure.

We feel children enjoy home from home environment experiences and here we offer that with our home cooked meals each day.
